Google and How Personal Search will Affect SEO

Last Friday Google released the info of it's personal search criteria. We are told it will be an opt out not an opt in choice for consumers. Meaning, if you are logged in as a user or not the Google algorithm will compile a data base of up to 180 days of search info and then show each individual their own set of results based on the data collected from that particular computer.

Question, will this affect SEO services who essentially rely on a global search result. If I have spent many hours working on a site for a particular keyword, to get it to the top of Google's organic SERPS will all that work be for nothing.

Answer, Yes and No. The yes part is that one person who searches for apples may see different results then another who searches for the same keyword. However, and this is where the no comes in. If your site about apples is full of rich content that is all about apples and helpful to the client about apples then you shouldn't see much of a difference in your SERP rankings.

I believe Google has tried to weed out those spam sites that come up for particular keywords due to their "black hat" SEO techniques. Hopefully this is one more thing that will allow the consumer to see the most relevant websites for that particular keyword because of the content about that keyword on the particular website, along with the "White Hat" SEO techniques that I and several others use to promote their clients.
